Achieving on & off the sporting field

Wes Patten

After playing for the Balmain Tigers, Gold Coast Chargers and South Sydney, Wes finally found a place on the St George/Illawarra Dragons team, which he cemented with a strong performance throughout the 2000 NRL season.

The elusive halfback, who stands at only 165cm, has played several positions in both backs and forwards and is pleased to have broken through to top grade, after a brief run in first division.

As well as being a specialist in rugby league Sevens sides, Wes is a dominant touch football player and has also acted in several Australian TV programs.
